21 DAY DIET Workout for the DAY!!!

Thank you to ALL who are doing the diet! We are so excited to have you a part of our team and community! Here is DAY 1's workout!

 

Jumping Lunges (20,18,16,14,12,10,8,6,4,2) and Burpees! (10,9,8,7,6,5,4,3,2,1) You are alternating each technique and going down in number by 2 lunges and 1 burped each round. Time yourself and record your best time! I got 7 Mins 45 Secs! I was SO tired! haha and my legs are already killing me!

20 Jumping Lunges

10 Burpees

19 Jumping Lunges

9 Burpees

18 Jumping Lunges

8 Burpees

and continue on.

 

If jumping lunges are too intense for you just begin to do REGULAR lunges. There is a video on MY INSTAGRAM @BrigitteDoesHair if you have any questions about the movements!

Before and After BABY #2!!! 6 Week Diet and what it did for ME!

WOW These are crazy! Just a recap! I had my baby March 23rd. I started my diet March 30th I did a RawLivingFoods.Org Diet plan for Post Baby. I followed the meals exactly and had a cheat meal when aloud. I started out at 142 lbs Post Baby and I dropped down to 122!!! I lost 20 lbs in 6 WEEKS!!! I can promise you I did not lose my weigh this quickly with my first! So now for the following 30 days! I will be toning and gaining some muscle because now I can work out full on! WOO HOO!!! I hope this helped inspire some moms out there! It was hard but I am SO happy I did it! And thank you for supporting me on this journey!!! Stay tuned for the following 30 days for our toning plan and we will EVEN BE SELLING A BOOK AT THE END! YAY!

CALI Business TRIP!

So my best friend and I went to California and tried some yummy restaurants and here were a few! It was such a fun and easy trip! My hubs stayed home with the kids while I did all the business stuff and it was totally worth it! I am excited for our future trips!

We ate at SQIRL in LA for breakfast when we arrived! It was seriously so good and such fresh food! Very inspiring!

You can still eat healthy on TRIPS! It's true! We just looked on Urban Spoon for yummy local places and we found some great choices! This is a cibotta bread with scramble eggs, bacon, and arugula ! DELICIOUS!

In Santa Monica at the mall!!! Trying The Curious Palate! Once again fresh yummy flavors!

BLUE TACO! Right next to Santa Monica Pier! DELICIOUS AS WELL!! We were so impressed with everything that we tried! I got shrimp, chicken, steak tacos all on different tortillas! I loved the presentation! You eat with your eyes!

My friend got Chicken, Pork, and Short Ribs! All very good too! I really enjoyed the steak taco the best though!

End of Week 5 Afters

WOO HOO! 5 down 1 more to go (Less then one now!) I am so excited! I have already lost almost 30 LBS in 5 WEEKS! It feels really nice to just lose the weight now instead of later! With my first baby I did NOT lose my weight nearly as fast! I was at 145 lbs for the LONGEST time (At least until he was about 6 months) And then I buckled down and lost the remaining weight! I'll show you pics soon! But for this transformation Week 1 I was 152 LBS and my weight for week 5 was 124.5 LBS ! And even scale weight doesn't matter a lot of the time! You can actually lose weight and gain muscle which makes you believe you didn't lose weight when really, muscle just weighs more! SO! Scale weight isn't everything! Because this next week I will probably not lose very much scale weight because I am working out now so it will be more body fat turning into muscle! Even better!

So the other Paleo Banana Breads I made weren't very moist so I typed in super moist Paleo bread and created my own recipe from one off of TealandLime.com

Ingredients: 

2 cup Almond Flour

1/2 Tbsp cinnamon

1/4 Cup Raw Honey

1/2 Cup Water

1 tsp Almond Extract

1 tsp Vanilla Extract

2 Ripe Bananas

If you want cocoa bread add 1/2 cup Cocoa and I also added Enjoy Life Chocolate chips! (They are soy free! still super yummy!)

1. Pre-heat Oven to 350 Degrees and Line pan with parchment paper.

2. Mix together dry ingredients and then add wet ingredients!

3. Pour into pan!

4. Bake 45-50 minutes and let cool and ENJOY!

End of Week 4 and NOW into Week 5!

For Week 5 I did a lot of the same foods! and kept with them consistently! I have to say we left out of town this weekend and that was hard because leaving town I associate eating crap with a lot! So I had to really think it through before and so I made Banana bread to snack on and brought other easy snacks that were healthy!

 For this post I am just giving you ideas of what to eat because I literally ate almost the same thing every day -we have just been so busy! At the bottom is how I make Sweet Potato Chips (MY go to SNACK!) ! It is the easiest thing ever! Hope You ENJOY! I will post after pics on Wednesday! STAY TUNED! And I will also be changing my diet that day! For the LAST WEEK!!! YAY!!!

WEEK 4! Day 2, 3, 4 and 5!

Party on! I have been SO busy! I apologize for not putting pics up sooner! So I have my before and after for Week 3-4 I lost 2 lbs! and It is a minimal difference but it still a difference! And this diet is not too shabby! I am enjoying it now! Ben and I actually eat the same food now haha!

Week 3 Day 7 and Week 4 DAY 1!

Getting into week 4 now! That means 2 more weeks! I really do feel better on this diet! I really want this to be how we eat on a regular basis! It is so clean and makes my tummy feel so good! I LOVE IT!

Week 3 Day 6!

This is basically a habit now! I WANT to eat this food and now crave it! I really don't think much about crap food anymore and if I do I just think I'll be able to eat it on our cheat meal! So it isn't this haunting food item in my mind! YAY! Here is Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner for TODAY!

Lunch: I made this into a Chicken Salad! Spinach, Free Range Chicken Sautéed in lemon juice and Raspberry Vinaigrette

Dinner: Beef Roast, Peppers, Cabbage, and homemade salsa! I just mixed it all together and ate it like a salad! It was yummy!

CRAVING DESSERT! So I looked up a PALEO STRAWBERRY, BANANA CHEESECAKE.. It satisfied the need of cheesecake pretty well! I made up my own recipe too... it's SUPER EASY!

This is the CRUST! : Just 1 1/2 cups of Coconut Flour , 6 Tablespoons Coconut Oil and 3 Tablespoons Raw Honey!

THE FILLING! :  1 1/2 cups Sunflower seed Butter, 6 Tblsp Coconut Oil, 1 tsp fresh Lemon Juice, 1 tsp Vanilla extract, 1/4 cup of Raw Honey, 1 banana, 2  cups of strawberries BLEND IN BLENDER!

POUR filling into crust pan and put in freezer for 1-2 hours and then SERVE! It tasted great to us! Hope you enjoy!

Dinner: CHEAT NIGHT! We decided to not go so crazy this time because we never feel good afterwards haha! So this is gluten free crust and fresh tomato sauce, a little cheese and pepperonis with jalepenos! We also had a little ice cream and cheesecake! Make sure when you are cheating that you only buy what you will eat that night and don't have anything left over in your house to continue to tempt you!

Week 3 Day 1 and 2!

It's seriously so nice now because I feel so good and I don't feel like I am on a diet anymore! I recommend this change to anyone! I literally feel like a new woman! Here's what I ate yesterday and today! AND MY BEFORE AND AFTER PICS FOR LAST WEEK! I'm getting closer to my goal so the pounds won't be shedding off as quickly as before but I am STILL happy with the results! It is amazing what food can do! That is why I love our business! We still feed people enough food we just give them exactly what they need to get the results that they want!

Lunch: Corn tortillas, wild rice. steak skirt, green peppers, and homemade salsa!

Week 2 Day 5 &6

Day 5 and 6 FOODS! It's actually not too bad now that I am in the swing of things! I enjoy eating these foods and I feel really great! And I have saved so much money because I have not been eating out at all! (I used to go somewhere at least twice to four times a week!)

This twice baked sweet potato is amazing!!! This was plenty for lunch because it is loaded with goodness!  Recipe:  Cook Potato in oven at 400 for 30-35 mins to soften the core. Then Cut in half and scoop out the insides. Mash the insides with coconut oil, salt and pepper (Just a little add ins until smooth)  Cook Chicken, Onions, and Bacon all separate and then add into mash. Place Mash potatoes back in skin and add green onions on top! WALA!

Week 2 Day 1!

After a WEEK I have lost 8 LBS TOTAL!!! (134 lbs NOW) Look at the difference!!! I feel great and I can see the results! I am getting SO excited! My baby is only 2 weeks and I can't wait to see what 5 more weeks will do! I am still producing enough milk and eating very clean! It's crazy how good you feel when you eat good food! We highly suggest you take before and after pics once a week so that you can see your results and it inspires you to keep going!

DAY 7! 1 WEEK DONE!

Last night we had a cheat meal and I thought it was going to taste so yummy.. but it really didn't taste that good! It was wild! And I really didn't eat very much at all! I was excited to start back up today and for future cheats I don't even think I'll cheat that much.. maybe just one thing at a time. But it was fun to see the difference that I feel with other food then what I have been eating!

So I have done a WHOLE week and when I started I was 142 lbs. and now I am 135! I have lost 7 lbs in a week! Pretty darn good! About a pound a day! I am excited for the upcoming weeks because it really is worth just eating better! I feel MUCH better and the food is SO GOOD! Thanks @RawLivingFoods ;)

BURGERS FOR LUNCH! Okay so we had burgerFI last night at it was good don't get me wrong but we spent 35$ at a burger joint and I know that I can make the same food for a lot cheaper (And granite I know they are a business and need to make money -totally understand) BUT I could save a lot if I just keep this up! (My Dr. pepper was tiny and it was 3$... Ben's Burger was 14$ HAHA)

Dinner: Nitrate Free Bacon (You can get this at Sprouts), Free Range Chicken, sweet onion with Zucchini cooked in bacon grease! YUM!

Now here is Cheat  Meal 101

Having a weekly cheat meal can do a lot of things for you. First and foremost it will help your brain not go nuts haha.

But for the science behind a weekly cheat.

When you have been eating a calorie reduced diet your body will start getting used this amount of energy output. This will decrease the amount of the hormone called leptin. Leptin is one of the major contributors to weight loss in your body. So when you have an extremely high calorie cheat it will help increase the levels of Leptin and thus continue to help you burn fat calories. 

Rules to follow when cheating.

  1. Have a cheat meal on the days you train your weakest muscles. Those added calories will also help increase testosterone which will encourage muscle growth.
  2. Set a timer and make sure you stay under 45 minutes. You don’t want your cheat meal turing into a cheat night. 
  3. Limit the amount of fat that you consume in your cheat. Try for Carbohydrates that will spike your insulin. (potatoes, white rice, Donuts, white bread, pastries)
  4. Have fun!!!! this is a big one your trying to change probably 20+ years of eating a certain way so try to relax and get your mind right refocus your goals for the next week of dieting. 

Day 5 and 6

Day 5 and 6! Breakfast Lunch and Dinner from yesterday and Breakfast and lunch from today! Tonight I get a cheat meal! Once a week with this diet I am aloud one cheat meal! It is nice to look forward to something that is for sure!

Sweet Potato Pancakes:

Seriously SO GOOD!

2 Farm Fresh Eggs

1 Large Sweet Potato cooked 

1/4 cup almond butter

1/2 cup Unsweetened almond milk 

1 tsp baking soda

1 tsp baking powder

2 tsp cinnamon

1/2 tsp salt 

Mix all together with hand mixer and pour on hot pan to cook! Sprayed coconut spray before batter was placed!

Enjoy!

Day 4! And I already want to cheat! haha! But I can do this! You can do this too if you are on a diet or doing our diet! You got this! This isn't a diet, its a lifestyle.. that's what I keep telling myself and I keep saying to myself that I just have to get through today... But today's meals were yummy! Here they are! I actually was inspired by a company @duronicmedia they had a smoothie idea that i remembered I made similar when I worked at a smoothie shop ( ooh yah baby!) so I thought I would make one of those! It turned out delicious!  Recipe:  4oz. unsweetened almond milk  1 banana  4 strawberries  handful of blueberries  handful spinach/kale  3 tbsp almond butter  1 scoop whey protein  6 ice cubes   and blend! enjoy!!!

DAY 3!

Day 3! Lets chat... today I was craving a little more..like sweets big time.. so these Cocoa Avacado Pancakes were just what I needed! Still in the diet and tasted amazing! 

Recipe for these sweet gifts!

1/4 cup coconut flour

1/4 cup cacao powder (you can substitute with cocoa powder)

1/4 cup coconut sugar

1/4 tsp baking soda

1/4 tsp sea salt

1 tbsp coconut oil- soft

3 free range eggs

1/4 cup unsweetened almond milk

1/2 of avocado

-Whisk ALL ingredients together and cook like a regular pancake! I used pure maple syrup for my topping but I was think strawberries or blueberries (Like chocolate covered berries.. thats what I'm talking about ;) ) Hope you ENJOY!
